I grew up in Poughkeepsie New York listening to WABC. As a child I had a stuttering problem and I always envied the smooth talking deejays on WABC who made talking sound so easy. I would practice in my room trying to sound just like them.  To make a long story short I owe my career to the great deejays I listened to growing up.. Harry Harrison, Dan Ingram, Cousin Brucie and especially Ron Lundy made being a deejay sound like the greatest job in the world (and it is).  In 1972 I was working in Washington DC at an oldies station, and then moved on to CBS FM in the summer of 1977 doing the overnight shift.  I left CBS FM in 1978 to join WHN (Country) where I did mid-days and afternoon drive for 7 years. I won the Billboard Major Market Personality of the Year award in 1979. Then it was back to CBS FM in 1986 where I stayed 19 years.

What a ride it has been. I have had the opportunity to interview and host concerts by the top artists. I got the chance to co-host a morning show with Micky Dolenz. I have even had the chance to be on TV and win the Weakest Link for Variety: the Childrens Charity. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I’m very excited to be doing mornings now on the Breeze and be the program director. Working and living on the Jersey Shore sure beats that daily commute to New York City I did for so many years.
